This is Storm, she is a 20 year old grey mare. She is in good health and her teeth have been floated. She has mild asthma but it does not interfere with her performance. Storm has done trail, parades and barrel. She is sound and kid safe.
One thing we must insure is that she does not bear a heavy rider. She has had only two owners her whole life and they were both young girls who's maximum weight was 120 lbs. Storm is getting older but still has spunk however she does not respond well with a heavy rider on her back, simply b/c this is not what she has been used to in her lifetime and with her getting older we want to make sure that she will not be expected to carry heavy. I feel that a compassionate horse owner listens to their animal and respects their individual personalities and this is why we haven't pushed Storm to carry heavy.
She would be a wonderful horse for a young person who is just learning to ride. She is calm, patient and well broke. She's an easy rein and leg pressure responsive. We love her VERY much and the ONLY reason we are selling her is b/c we are looking to move from our acreage to a smaller place and we don't want to board her anywhere, we would rather see her continue to be loved with a family who will spend time with her daily.
